Socially Safe
is a program owned and operated by WiredTrust, Inc. WiredTrust interfaces with the public and users of its Socially Safe Seal
participant technologies. The information we collect and store and how it is used depends on the purpose for which the
information was submitted and our commitment ot the safety, security and integrity of the Internet, clients and the public
as a whole.
We collect the contact information and store the communications of everyone communicating with the
Socially Safe or any WiredTrust affiliates sites. Except as set forth below, this information is not shared with
third parties (other than those bound by confidentiality agreements and retained to offer services or support to WiredTrust
in offering its services or operating its website)other than as WiredTrust believes, in its sole and absolute discretion,
is needed for the safety, security or wellbeing of the Internet or the public, any of its Socially Safe Seal participants'
or WiredTrust's websites or technologies, any of their users, WiredTrust employees, principals, agents, owners, shareholders,
executives, staff, members of its boards of directors or advisory boards, or as may be required by applicable law, legal process
or court order.
If you are a user of one of our Socially Safe Seal participant technologies you may communicate
with us to learn more about our programs, the technologies which have earned our Socially Safe Seals, to obtain information
about best practices and cybersafety, security and privacy generally or to make a report about a member technology that you
believe has violated the Socially Safe Seal applicable standards. Reports about Socially Safe Seal participants are shared
with the Seal Participant about which the report is submitted, but the identity of the individual submitting the report is
only shared with the Seal Participant if needed to investigate or evaluate the report (such as the membership information
of a user or identity of someone claiming an abuse relating to them).
WiredTrust has certain legal and ethical
obligations to its clients. All Socially Safe Seal participants must enter into a written Socially Safe Seal Participation
Agreement with WiredTrust. The terms of that agreement govern information submitted by Seal Participants or gathered by WiredTrust
independently in connection with those Seal Participants.
For all entities and individuals accessing the
Socially Safe or other WiredTrust websites, you should understand that it is not a good idea to share personal information
online with anyone without making sure that you can do so in a safe and secure manner. It is especially important that you
not disclose confidential legal information with anyone other than your lawyer or legal advisor. Note that no legal relationship
can be formed with WiredTrust without a formal written signed retainer agreement and fulfillment of the conditions set forth
in the retainer agreement (such as payment of applicable fees). Your agreement and understanding of those are a condition
to your use of this site. In addition, if you are a website operator, social network, gane or digital technology provider
seeking information about the Socially Safe Seal, WiredTrust has no legal or ethical obligations to you until you have formally
become clients of WiredTrust and executed and delivered a Seal Participant Agreement
or other Master Services Agreement with WiredTrust. Therefore, please do not send WiredTrust unsolicited e-mail disclosing
personal information about any possible legal action, confidential matter or pending or threatened litigation or governmental
regulatory action. If you do so, your legal rights may be compromised.
